What an amazing day at the Spinners vs Scrappers game raising awareness for Mitochondrial Disease with John Leahy, Lori-Ann Leahy & Judi Lapides-Goldberg.
I've always known my friend was excellent, but actually being in the broadcasters booth gives you a finer appreciation for the hard work and true dedication that goes into a live broadcast.
I want to thank both the Spinners & Scrappers organizations for being fine hosts and friends! Both teams have some incredible ball players!
Thank you! 💚
It truly is a small world! I found out last evening that the owners of the Cleveland Indians affiliate Mahoning Valley Scrappers are very close family friends. Jeffrey K Savit and his brother Michael Savit own the team. Jeffrey's mother-in-law Marlene and my mother Marcia go back to early childhood.
There just isn't enough wonderful adjectives to describe what an amazing family they are from the top on down! Incredible, selfless, warm, kind, caring are a quick few that come to mind and that doesn't even scrape the surface.
Always so concerned and vested in mine and my families well being!
Sunday's game just became that much more exciting!
In the visiting booth, will be Austin Pollack, broadcaster for the Scrappers. I understand he's a fantastic talent in his own right. Austin's family are also close family friends from way back! It's going to be an amazing day!
Thank you! 💚
